spent an hour today hitting a local park, only MD'd the 'tot' lot, fresh mulch, but what the heck.... a few of the coins found were down in the old stuff, but most were up top......2 tokens, 4 Quarters, 8 nickels, 13 pennies & 17 dimes... I pulled up one of the nickels from the 'new' mulch... Buffalo on it,,, I thought must be one of the 'new' ones, rolled it over and could not believe my eyes... 1934D.... How does that get into "new" mulch??????????? maybe someone raided dad's coin collection for some ice-cream $$..

One of the other nickels turned out to be a 1941, but I don't know if I found it high or low...
here's a picture of today's nut..
