I bought my brother a prizm V for his birthday. Before I gave it to him I tested it out. Remarkably easy to use. I really liked it. I use a DFX myself. Whites makes a good product. Best of luck on your future hunts.

Welcome to the board. I've also got and use a Prizm V. It is very easy to use, and as time goes along, you will be able to pick those coins/jewelry out of the trash, simply by using the tone it makes. I've had one for a little over two years now, and I'm still learing things about it. You will also be finding coins at the 8 and 9 inch level as well. HH

I started with the $200 Priszm II back in Oct. 2004, and after about four months I found my first real old coin, an 1807 Large Cent. I now use a White's MXT, but the Prizm V will definitely do the job for you.
