The fields that we are waiting for are still not ready & now we have almost constant rain again! But it did force us to try somewhere different. It's an area of a large farm complex that we have never tried or walked. In fact trying to find the fields we wanted nearly got us lost. Cru'dad had some Archie intel on 3 different fields but the one I wanted to try wasn't on the list, so if we hadn't have got lost & wandered into the field I wanted to try we would not have found this site today.
This Roman Site looks like it will be a low yield one but we had to cut our gridding short as we were totally soaked & the conditions became too much. Not something that normally stops us, but we had to call it after just 2 hours.

First picture is a short solo hunt by Cru'dad yesterday - 1 fibula, 1 scrappy

Today;
Before I got to the field I eye balled a Vicky Penny
Roman Pot Shards
8 Scrappies
1 debased Roman Silver of Postumus.

I've now confirmed this was the field that Land-mag found a large piece of Roman Pot shard. He did about 20 minutes of detecting but had no signals. That story was the reason I wanted to try this field, although I wasn't 100% sure I was remembering the right spot.
So Land-mag is credited with the find, we confirmed it. Actually I just spoke to him, & on that day he had done a 5 hour scout around the Land & it was such a warm day that him & his dog were knackered by the time they are back to the car & the dog drunk a whole bottle of water! It was not in vain.:hello2:

Yep Cru, not stopped raining all day up north today. At least there won't be a drought this summer.
Yeap, Today & Monday looks a wash out, so hoping to get out tomorrow!

More sites means more options. That's most important. Even a low yield site can make your day. Congrats!

UPDATE;
The debased silver was a type we haven't had. Shame it was pretty shot!
