We spent about 2 hours finishing the new & small Roman Site (10 coins). We then spent just over 2 hours in the next field which had more coins than we expected.
Complete Crotal Bell with 'reverse' Makers Mark.
18th C Clog Hasp (first of this type I have seen)
Roman Bracelet Fragment
Fossil
Possible Flintlock Flint?
27 Roman Bronze Coins
1 early (over 6g's) Follis of Constantine I (our first of this type & good nick as well)
A nice Probus
Plus something Dad read about last night but we have never seen until today - A Constantine II period Coin with a AD350s 'overstrike' of the soldier spearing fallen horse. However, it has a barbarous front facing head which we have never seen & would normally date post AD390s. Maybe a triple strike, but whatever it is, its very unusual & therefore an Album Coin.
