Made another call tonight on a follow up hunting spot with a realtor and was given the go as this place is uninhabited and for sale as commercial propery. Within 20 minutes had dug a 1899 Indian, a 1930's tootsie toy, and old lock and a 1920 Chicago International livestock exhibition thingy. I will post pics of the house later as it was getting dark and I was in a hurry to see what I could find. The house dates from the early 1900's (my guess) by the styling and location within the city limits.

Thanks for looking, Ron

Nope. Me and Terry Everly hunted it for several hours on Saturday and then moved on. There is still some good hunting left. Just had some other spots to investigate. I'll save it for another time unless you want to give it a go at ???

That would be fine too. I'm always scouting my maps and driving the countryside planning my next place to hunt. Terry has a good eye too....better than mine. I have a few reserve spots I just have to drive 27 miles to hunt them. Woodstock is drying up for me so I'm starting to head out a little further. Marys ville has a lot of forclosed properties, I just need to call realtors to check them out. Bank owned forclossures are easy to get into ......generally speaking. I made a phone call a month ago to Columbus on a double lot and that was a breeze. The 1840's place was easy too........ to my surprise. Especially when the owner is 2 hours away and doesen't even have a clue who I am. It's all about selling yourself.........I aquired these skills selling light bulbs and Grit newspapers in the 60's
