I was going to save it for spring but I had to do a test dig at a new huge permission site I finally nailed down. I did a fast zig zag sweep of the area and the coin range I found was from the late 1700’s to the early 1900’s. Some of the coins were a 1799 cartwheel penny,1816 token,1864 New Brunswick one cent, 1917 Newfoundland one cent and a 1929 small Canadian one cent. Even though no silver yet and the coins weren’t in great shape I’m psyched with the fast results and can’t wait till I get back. Winter or spring. Thanks for looking! [emoji2][emoji106]

Looks like you're off to a good start.

Nice old coins, congratulations! :occasion14:

I'll be up there by spring...DON'T HUNT IT OUT!!!!! lol

Very nice got some new digs for next year Nice preview

Thinking about hunting that spot should keep you warm this winter :occasion14:

I feel your pain on wanting to get out this time of year up here with a nice new permission a waiting! Just scored a five for one permission yesterday (5 sites - one permission) much of which will probably have to wait until spring up here. Those cartwheel pennies are ginormous - Conder Token sized etc.

Five sites. That’s should keep you busy. If I have a mild winter I should be able to hit it some before spring. The bad part is I’m now working seven days a week dawn to dusk so I can’t go! [emoji43]

Geez all that from a test dig?!?! Can't wait to see what you find next year! Congrats! :icon_thumleft:

It was a big test dig. A lot of ground to cover fast. Good news is stuff came from all areas of the property. I’m was really surprised no instant silver though. Even a 1950’s silver dime or something! 🤔

Hi, wow those are great finds. Congrats.:occasion14:

Did a little toothpicking on the 1797 cartwheel penny. I didn’t want to go to far because there’s no turning back if you do but I think it turned out ok!

I'd be pulling on the second pair of longjohns about now. 😂 Great work! That's gonna be a fun place, I'm sure.

Your right. If I could get out of work with some daylight a little cold and frozen top soil wouldn’t slow me down much! HaHa
