New to metal detecting

HI started detecting 9 months ago spent the winter reading every thing i could find. read a lot of posts on this web site. learned a lot. also learning to type an post messages. this is my first one.just wanted to say hello an to thank every one for the info on detecting it helps the learning curve become a lot shorter.
