Hey all! This is my first post on t-net. Others might know me from the whites forum, but since switching to an E-Trac and having co-founded a new Minelab dealership with my father-in-law, I figured I should be posting here instead.

Summary of Finds:
Oldest Copper- 1786 Conneticut Copper
Oldest Large Cent- 1797 Draped Bust, Stemless (New Find)
Oldest Silver- 1853 Seated Half Dime
1st and only Military Button- New York Militia staff button (New Find)
Lots of flat buttons and other items, too many to list in just a few short years

Here are the new finds from a mill established in 1803. Hunted it saturday. The 1797 LC actually looks better in person then photograph. Also found an 1827 LC and that military button here as well. The militia button back has been unfortunatly smashed in, but still there.

Please check out our website by clicking the "website" link under my profile picture.

Awesome finds. How do you like the E-Trac? I'm getting either that or the Spectra V³ soon.

I don't know much about coins and their names and dates, but I saw the Miss Liberty, or whatever her common name is, but can't make out the date. Is it 1827? Man, I'd faint and fall over if I found something like that.

Welcome aboard!!!

I love the E-Trac ;D. Awesome Machine. The Pin-pointing is excellent, unbelievable depth, and the number ID is dead on accurate 95% of the time. You do get something wrong if its a crappy target or aluminum chunk of course. But, awesome indeed. The 1797 LC was 8.5 inches down and tilted almost completly on edge and next to a chunk of iron to boot, but this machine got it. The iron mask is what makes minelab superior to whites, don't get me wronge I started with whites but this machine blew my mind. The iron mask alone is worth getting a minelab.

Yes that second large cent is 1827 for the date. I love finding these large cents, such a rush.
