Hi Everyone: Brand new to treasure net but not to metal detecting. Have been detecting for 40 yrs. I am retired now and live near Charleston, SC but originally come from Sackets harbor, NY. Never found anything too earth shattering but love the thrill of the hunt. No better feeling than the detector sounding off and wondering what's under the coil. I found a small (about 1/2 inch square) piece of rolled sheet lead with knife marks on it. Thought it might be the makings for a bullet as I found it at an old plantation site. I'll post a picture as soon as I figure out how. Site dates back well into the 17oo's. Got permission to hunt it from the owner/developer. It's gone under the bulldozer now and soon will have 250 houses on it. Glad to be aboard.
