I'm new to metal detecting but have already had some great finds. Found a token, gem saloon in idaho they say it is rare. Hope to learn from you all out there. The laws are hard to understand here in washington state. I live in prosser washington.

Welcome Dakota, nice find with that token! You might have a great site...keep researching anything you can about your towns history. Old Tokens, coins, buttons are a great indication your on to something. Do this hobby for the right reasons, the value is in the history. share your finds with anyone you might give you permission, good luck!
