Very cool find amigo - wish I had some good advice to offer but I do not, other than to say please be careful as there could be deadly booby traps left in such a place. I look forward to reading more.

Looks like a KEYHOLE to me... go in the direction that the BIG "circle"(TOP) points to. (For KEY...?).

Actually, it looks like someone made an outline of their boot, then carved it into the rock.

Go in the direction of "boots" (prints); like Turkey Foots (tracks). Reckon NO turkeys over THERE! OR... ALL turkeys blown away by NASTY WEATHER!
