True. In the end, the 'right' thing is that the finder is compensated, the archaeological info isn't destroyed, and the public at large benefits thereby. Everyone wins.

British treasure trove law is far ahead of ours.

That is a great find just goes to show there is a lot more somewhere in the ground , i bet that registered a big overload on his MD :laughing7: i can see it now 1 year later E-Bay Roman Coins for sale if he gets to keep anything :dontknow: :tongue3: .A find of a lifetime , i would assume that pot was clay or some kind of earthen ware ? . :headbang: Dd60
