Had a call from a resort GM - a newly wed guy (on honeymoon!) lost his wedding band in about 3 ft of water.
he tried snorkelling for it but had no luck.
VERY luckily, the beach crew marked the "spot" with a wooden pole.
I returned the next day and found it after about 2 hrs, - it was 20ft from the pole, so either they were wrong, or it drifted a lot overnight!
I should also say - I only had a hand scoop! so had to snorkel most of the time for it!
2 hrs of that is NOT fun!
Anyway, found it. the beach guy called the guys room and he was ecstatic!
Gave me $500 (wow!) so I said I would buy a long handle scoop with it and give the other $350 to a local charity.
So in the end everyone was happy!
