Thank you all! I was doing some research and found the same button from what seems to the war of 1812 in Ontario, but I am some 4000km away from there, but I wonder if it is from the same time.
Royal Artillery Button: 1812 History
The distance just means it probably came from a soldiers jacket when he was there, it doesn't necessarily have to be at the battle site to have been on a soldier that was in that battle. Very cool find.
