Hello all. Just getting started into the world of metal detecting, but I can tell you one things for certain, I am unmatched in the art of planning, scanning, locating and ultimately digging up any and all pull tabs or pull tab related materials out of the ground. My skills for this are only rivaled by my uncanny ability to also find twist tops, bottle caps and at least one moving target that is never found, each time I go out. I don't want to sound cocky but hey, what can I say, it's pull tab poverty over here and I'm livin' it up!

Welcome from Mississippi.

Welcome from North Central Illinois. 🙋

Welcome from Charleston, TN. You'll have to work hard to keep the title regarding pull tabs. Some of us can dig a mean pull tab.

Welcome from another pull tab wrangling Ace 400 slinging forum member. Ken is right, you will really have some pull tab pulling competition here. Looking forward to seeing future posts, you have a very capable machine there.

Yes, I agree the machine is pretty solid. I probably only have maybe 6 hours on it so far, so I'm still in the learning process. I did however find a silver quarter on my second time out with it and that has gotten me excited about going out whenever I can. My biggest hurdle though is the infamous moving target though. I'm beginning to think it's my swing that might be causing it but I'm not sure. I get good solid signals with little to no iron audio but when it go to dig it, I never find it because it's shifted two or three inches over. I make a big sloppy hole and then stop pursuing it as to not completely wreck the ground. A pinpointer will definitely not be too far behind in my next big purchasing.

A pinpointer will be a huge advantage.

Welcome to the forum, GL & HH!
