no the rocks are not gold it is pyrite. but it still looks cool and I enjoyed finding it!

Enjoying finding it is good enough. Many forget the fun of just finding and have to keep score of How much found today, how many gold rings, etc.

I consider myself lucky if I don't have to crawl back to the car.
