Nice pics! I always enjoy going and watching racing events, whether it is the drags or circle track. I was tickled at seeing all the folks in the stands in your pics that have their fingers in their ears. If you a regular to these type of events, you know that some hearing protection is a must.

Yea, I thought that was pretty funny too. I certainly wore ear protection. I have other pics of people in the pits when the crews would test-fire their engines. The nitro smoke was causing people to scatter with burning eyes and noses. Good times!

Great pics, I love the Nitro Circuit they are some awesome machines.
I just got back from 4 days of car cruising and drag racing, here in Ky. It's alot of fun and have made alot of freinds along the way.

Dig the drag track thunder . We spend a few summer saturday nights at the strip in Steele Alabama .

They run damn near everything out there . If you pay ...and they can make a spot ... you can time out the family SUV on the 1/4 .

HA! I can just picture a '89 Dodge Caravan out there!

This event was the big race of the year out here... Force, Capps, Kalitta, Brown.... But at other times you can 'Test n Tune'. You can take anything you want down there and run it. A buddy takes his '76 Vette there. I doubt that my Ford Ranger 3.slow would be worth running. ;D

Miss the smell of burning nitro and the loud "huff" when throttles snap open! Last drag strip I was at was in Union Grove Wis. One exhibition was chaining a rocket dragster to a pile of old cars and burning them up at night, great show.

Thanks for sharing your pics!

Nice shots. The second pic is kind of ironic, the ad sign says: U.S. Smokeless Racing, while the car above it, is NOT :laughing9:.........NGE

Used to go when younger. Still dig the sights and sounds. Glad to see drag racing get a boost from the shows on speed channel. Pinks and Pinks All Out.
Looks like you captured the action pretty well. Bravo!
