Hello, I was finishing up the last few scraps of a house that exceeded all my expectations. It has given me numerous wheats, silver roosie, saloon token, and some odds and ends. I got stuck with the dump part of the yard next to a collapsed carriage house. I got a zinc signal at three inches and it took some real motivation to dig it up- glad I did. A 1906 barber dime in nice shape popped out and made my day. I also got a 1913 wheat as well. There are plenty of ghost signals left, so I wil be back. Also, I got this Ford cap near the dump. Any idea on age, use?

Super barber. Nice going on digging that zinc signal. The Ford cap is a cap for the end of an axle. Model T age I think, might be used on later models also, not sure.

Model T is right. Nice 1913. Maybe you can find a 1914D. Barbers are always fun to find. Yours appears to be dark?? Maybe some soil conditions stained it or ??

wonder why your dfx gave you a zinc signal on a silver dime?

It does appear to be a Model T hub cap. Here's a photo of one used between 1915-1925. Looks about the same as your find.
