with a tiny "s" under the eagles claw. In a yard I have poured over. The Vaq is super tuned. I am using a side sweep method, and rescanning yards from the past to great results. Also found a 3 ring minnie and a UMC 45 govt head casing. DSC03270.JPG DSC03271.JPG

Bet that was a solid ,sweet sound when you found her.Nice quarter.

actually it was a broken signal that perked up as I honed in. I am dialed low because I know I have missed gold in the past by not dialing low enough, so I think it breaks up the silver somewhat. I got the same on a '41 quarter last week.
Thanks
Bandido

Great Job, Bandito!!.........the 1895-S Barber Quarter has a mintage of only 1,764,681 and sells for a nice premium over silver melt value....in the range of $15 to $25 for a full rim obverse and reverse, in good+ condition, which this one looks like......but if it has some letters in LIBERTY legible it could even go VG-8 grade.
NICE scarce Barber Quarter find to add to your collection!!

Happy Hunting Everyone!!

Bill
