Thats the great thing about md'ing in Europe. An old coin could be as old as roman times. I mean the US was just about all wilderness when that coin was minted.

Nice find

-thanks for all the comments , and yes I am realy pleased to have found it ..and I hope this is the 1st of many more :)
-here is two more piccs of the coin cleaned. its quite worn,, and could have been in use for many years.
-and also a cartridge end I found there, interesting to look these up on the web , it sould be about from the 1880,s 90,s ..I am sure it was from some rich guy living there , having a bit of shooting fun.

Really nice coin,in great shape too for being 350 years old. How deep does a guy have to dig to extract a coin that old? Wonder if that used to be a field for agriculture? So it may have been tilled to the surface over and over again? Good luck to ya and keep us all in the know of those old ones.
