My property is part of the Battle of Beaver Dam Creek in Virginia. Where my house is situated, is just on the eastern side of Beaver Dam Creek more so in the the Northern line. I was metal detecting what turned out to be a nail, and out popped a broken clay pipe bowl from the hole the nail was in. All I've ever pulled out of the ground has been bullets, as apparently this area was hit hard back in the 80's when they started building homes in the neighborhood. Finding a clay bowl fragment was quite surprising!

Very nice! You might be able to get a little info on it there is a book that helps identify clay pipes. That looks like one of the pipes where you would insert a hollow reed to use it.
