I havent been hunting much, but I was feeling a bit lucky yesterday so I went out and got a box of dimes. Got 4 rosies, which was better than my average for a box, but nothing spectacular. Went to dump at the penny arcade and pulled this beautiful little lady out of the reject tube. :D Definitely the most valuable single coin I've ever found hunting (dumping)

1947 20 Swiss Franc

You are one lucky guy. I don't know where to start, 90% GOLD, 6.4516g, 0.1867oz of Gold, mintage of 9,200,000 and as of todays price of gold , 1785.40 as I write this, the bullion value of your coin is $332.08.
That is simply an amazing find.

Is it the pic, or is the coin silver looking. If so, then it would be counterfeit or a huge error.

It's the lighting, the coin is gold, you just have to look harder.

Nice find on the gold coin!!! The coin is roughly a bit larger than a US dime, keep in mind, but still a wonderful reject find, I would LOVE to find gold in the reject tray... now this makes you wonder what else the person dumped :icon_scratch:

Keep on hunting!

Very jealous! I am trying to buy one just like this one. I think it's the most beautiful gold coins from Europe.

Simply an epic find....it's stories like these that keep me going!!!!

I like the Swiss coin designs too...this one has a Morgan-ish look to it. VERY well done!

Am I the only one thinking this is a banner find?

Yes you are. An amazing find, but what happens on the CRH board stays on the CRH board.

+1

Not only that, it's more like some dooozche throwing an envelope on the street with 5 folding Franklins inside.

Nothing that "happens" here stays here, if secrecy is what you are concerned about. A simple google search is all someone needs to do to figure out CRHing. I was researching silver coin values when I found out.

I would be sorely tempted to have that professionally framed so I could mount it between the bear and the Dalls ram.
