My hands hurt, my shoulders are killing me, I have blisters on my scoop hand. I never knew metal detecting could kick the --deleted-- out of me the way it did over the weekend.

Probably the most coins I've ever dug in such a small area....I could barely get through one swing without haveing to dig. Most targets were at 6 inches plus, making for a lot of double scoops = twice the work.

Not too bad in the jewelry department either. Do they mount real diamonds in silver rings? One is obvious junk, but the other one has a nice glimmer to it.

Day one finds:
5 silver rings
1 14kt white gold ring
1 14kt St. Anthony medallion
1 silver heart bracelet
1 small sivler charm
(2) 1941 Washington Quarters
51 & 63 Roosevelts
1920 Merc
6.5 wheats
81 quarters = $20.25
52 nickels = $2.60
96 dimes = $9.60
84 pennies = $0.84
Total for Day 1 in clad = $33.29

Yep, that's the kind of beach hunting we all dream about. :hello2: Beach hunters should keep in mind the coin to jewelry ratio that you came up with here. Bottom line: It's hard work finding jewelry.

I wish move to live in NJ because here in Maryland, I'm in a black empty hole without detecting.
