This field should have been drilled by now but the wet conditions have hampered the farmer from doing it. The grass has been strayed off for the 2nd time & the stubble is pretty workable. It was a stunning day & it was a joy to be on such a good field for 3 hours 45 minutes:

4 Roman Coins
1 Jetton
1 Royal Farthing
3 Lead Tokens
Watch Winder
2 Tudor Buttons8-)
Chinese Coin
I had a day of small silver including a Hammered Farthing:headbang:

Cru'Dad got a Bronze Age Spear Tip (our largest piece/example):headbang:

I think it covers every period starting at the Neolithic including a Viking Coin.

That silver farthing must be a heavy beast.
Those tudor buttons are very cool looking.

The decorated Tudor Button is a pretty scarce find & I love getting them undamaged & with a nice green patina.

I really like that spear tip! I'm always hoping for a copper culture piece but so far no dice!

Crusader,

Nice selection of finds......I'd go with the spear tip as the best of the lot also.
