But, actually, a very interesting mixed bag of finds. I really enjoyed today's hunt.

Feel free to comment on any of them.

Iron slug? Doubt it, it's not magnetic. Any ideas?

I think I've seen one of the thumbscrew looking thing on here before, but I forget.

Did the Fuller Brush Man ever use silver on their brushes?

And there's a slight surprise in these finds. The piece that looks like can-slaw, (all it says on it is Pat. Pending), the Fuller Brush cap, AND the ring marked .925? They all tested the same for silver. How about that for a kick?

Thanks for taking the time to peek.

Is it possible that this could actually be a coin of some sort? How would one tell?

Thanks!

What about the token?
And the 1896 item?
Those both look to be interesting. Great hunt!

Oh, I liked all of them. It was a very interesting day.

Just trying to figure what kind of coin could get to look like that slug looking thing. Would electrolysis work on something like this?

Thanks for the response!

Anyone recognize the greenish, thumbscrew looking thing?

Maybe the rusty looking coin is a steel penny.

Looks like a washer. Have you tried to poke out the center with a nail or something.

It looks & sounds pretty solid in the middle. Not very magnetic so it's not likely iron. I don't want to create a hole in the center of the coolest coin find in the world! ;) LOL

Actually, a washer, slug, or maybe a spacer is what first comes to mind. But, it just doesn't feel like one of those. I can't think of any coin that would corrode like that except maybe some nickel/iron based thing. If I can't figure a way to knock some of the corrosion down, I'll try a hammer. :)

Thanks for the response.

No, it's too big for that, on the overall picture it's just below the ring and thimble looking thing.

Thanks for the response.
