So I figured if it works all the time for Scrappy, why not me?
No there has to be a certain amount of mojo to this luck thing. Turn on machine and get a silver.
I turn on machine dig crap and get a penny. This took me 25 minutes, and another 15 to realize that I was not doing it right.

The silver actually emerges from the ground like zombies and slowly inch toward Scrappy, crawl up his leg and into his pouch.

But seriously, I'd love to dig an Edward penny. Good job, and at least you got out!

I'm right there with ya. But that is a nice looking coin!

Your finds look like mine, with the exception of that nice penny:thumbsup:

There I was scrolling down the finds when I saw this and thought "now what the hell is going on here?" Lol.

Hey I like that CALC. Coooool man!

Dude that is an awesome coin.
I would not be unhappy with that.

Thanks Old Dude

I thought the digging were going to be easy, but I did get a penny for my thoughts.

Thanks Scrappy

You actually gave me the inspiration to do a turn on detector score and go home hunt today, but the silver mojo was a no go. So maybe it's a learned thing, start with copper work up to silver? :)

Dude that is an awesome coin.
I would not be unhappy with that.

Thanks coilfisher

I'm very pleased with the LC, though a silver would of been better. :)

Hey, that is a nice big Canadian cent so you should be proud.

Thanks

I don't know about being proud, happy yes, for a silver my chest goes out further. :)

Congrats on pulling that sweet LC. Turn of the 20th century coins are alright by me.

Was hoping to see a queen but the Edward works for me, as he's in fine shape.

Nice old penny. Congrats,

Thanks Johncoho

Nice one P.J....:occasion14:

Thank you PP:thumbsup:

Large Cents are harder to find than Silver .
It seems so in NYC.
Congrats on your penny

Thanks for the reply Against the wind
I wish that was the case for me at least seems that the coppers are more available in the spots that I hunt. When I hunted parks back about 6yrs ago it was 102/52 ratio for silver so it's true what you claim.

I would call that a damn good result for that short hunt. That coin has beautiful detail

There is a learning curve when it comes to detecting. All of us are still somewhere on that curve. Your LC is a beauty, so it was a good day after all. 1902, one year before the Wright Brothers flew their airplane. Puts it into perspective! Sub 8-)

Sweet find and in great shape..Congrats!! :occasion14:..

Thanks Sub.

You're so right on the learning curve, and I don't think it ever stops regardless of how many decades one can be swinging the machine. We went to the museum/centre for the Wright Brothers it was a highlight of our trip.

Sweet find and in great shape..Congrats!! :occasion14:..

Thanks for the reply

HEY PEP NICE COIN FIND BUT HOW ABOUT SENDING THEM SPECTACLES TO ME I COIULD PROBALLY SEE BETTER WITH THEM COMPARED TO THE WALMART GLASSES THAT I WHERE AND STILL CANT SEE A DANG THING WITH THEM , FOR THE SURE DONT MAKE THINGS LIKE THEY USED TO. THE ARTISIANS OF THE PAST ARE ONLY A MEMOREY AND NOW EVERTHING IS SO DISPOSIBLE BUT THE OLD ITEMS STILL SURVIVE BEING SUPERBLEY MADE .

That 1902 LC turned out to be in nice shape Jim! :occasion14:

Sure would've been nice to have found one of those on Thursday eh! :laughing7:
