I hit my new permission yesterday mid 1800's house and realized right away there were lots of sections of fill. I was still able to find some hot spots and decided to just dig every solid tone I ran across

Little pile of wheats. A lonely Indian

Another civil war era navy officers button. ( I found an identical button 2 doors over at the vacant lot)

An old axe/tomahawk/ I have no clue lol. Working electrolysis on it now

Heading back at lunch today and hopefully find some silver

Looks like you got a couple of Lead Soldiers. They are collectables. That site has a laundry line just waiting to give up some silver.
Congrats on a nice hunt .

Had a pretty crappy lunch time hunt
I arrived at the house today and found that the owner got me permission for the house next door that was built in 1840. Prospects were high. But after digging a few holes filled with junk. I noticed every hole was clay. Not that nice old black dirt that you wanna see in this area. Nothing but fill dirt. And nothing original. I am going to head back to the vacant lot tomorrow. Hope it still has some keepers to produce

The ax head appears to be a broad axe flat on one side for hand hewing beams, nice find! I'd clean it up and put a handle on it.

That salt / pepper shaker top item looks like it could be silver? Probably pewter or something. :icon_scratch:

That's what I thought at first. Super super heavy. Amaya's pewter but heavy as lead. Really hope they didn't use lead for a salt shaker years ago. Doh!!

Nice.
Can you put them on a solid backdrop next time so we can see them better?

They used lead for water lines all the time. I'm sure a salt shaker wouldn't be a problem. :)
