I been digging for over a year and still yet to find anything worthy of calling a cool find. My clad count is at $0.52.

It’s all about location.

Well, the more people, the more junk so there is seemingly a layer of junk just under the plant roots just about e erywhere we go, lo! Few and far between is a location without this layer of junk, and it's really difficult for any detector not to mistake a lot if this stuff for good in many cases. The majority if the rest of it is solid hits, and not to dig means missing some good finds. Is it a ring, wadded up foil or a pulltab...that is the question! Even in cherry-picking coin mode, the junk still shows up! If all of us were to display our actual "finds", almost all would look like the ones in your photo, lo! Keep at it and HH!

Good post. It does take a lot of hard work to find that diamond in the rough.

I see some copper wire and brass in that pile. Keep all that, it adds up to $.

That is a good point thrill. I just threw away a few pieces of copper piping and such the other day. I should keep a few buckets in the workshop for brass, copper and aluminum.

Just think, you've cleaned a lot of trash out of your favorite search site. And, you said you found some Wheaties. That's a good sign that there is still some more treasure waiting to be found. Can't you hear it calling?

Keep going over the same spots. No kidding. Every time I think I've gotten everything good out of a spot, something else cool turns up.

Yes sir, I do have a couple nice buckets going for copper and brass. I might start one for aluminum, just all those cans are so dirty, I picture the scrap yard not really going for them. I do have allot of pull tabs, sheet metal cuttings, and TV antenna.
