Headed out to the 'burbs this morning to meet up w/ Lowbatts (and later Mayo) for more sidewalk and curb/gutter tear ups. Things started out slowly, with nothing but junk....after about an hour, finally got a good, solid hit. Turned out to be my very first harmonica reed!! I just wish it hadn't broken when I tried to pull it out of the mud...oh well. After a few more minutes of junk signals, got a good dime hit. Dug down about 3 inches and scanned...PRESTO!! Out pops a beautiful 1898 Barber dime!! :hello2: My first ever Barber coin, oldest silver coin, and second oldest coin ever found md'ing!!! ;D Later, we hit a few tot lots and I ended up with $1.44 in clad (4 quarters, 3 dimes, 2 clad Jefferson nickels, and 4 cents (all copper)). I'm TOTALLY stoked that I FINALLY got a Barber coin (and one in pretty good shape too)!! Now to find a seated coin.... :laughing7: Pics below. Enjoy!! :D ;D

Great hunt Paul, congratulations on the 1800's silver. Your doing very well with the ace and your hunting some good spots to get goodies. WTG

Great :icon_thumright: I haven't found a Barber yet, but I did find my only harmonica reed couple of years ago.

Yeah buddy!

We had a long walk through the hoods in town this morning hitting those driveway aprons and parkways, all were sparse but that one broke good for ya! Congrats!

Still gotta clean up my latest seated from yesterday and those other things I got but probably gonna wait until I'm done with that neighborhood.
