So this find was actually from last Sunday. I went back to the old house where I found my large cent and silver thimble. Needed to get the rest of it hunted so I can move on to my 1772 church. Pretty lousy day, except for this. I know it's it not much, but it does look old. I am not sure what it is or age range. Any ideas?

I am thinking Victorian sash buckle, but I am no expert. Nice, whatever it is. Congrats!

I could see that. I was hoping that it had hallmarks, but none to be found. It does fit with the age of the house.

Yes, 1 half of a sash buckle, forgot to say that.

What would the other half look like?

Should look just like the half you have, but with a hook to connect to the catch on your half, I believe.

Yeap, a mirror image with a hook.
