Fed 3 to some family's and have put 3 in my freezer this year. I am allowed 4 more. Keep it healthy. Were those back straps or the inside loins? Enjoy the bounty.

Congrats TN and I hope you get the next 4. These were back straps, the inside loins are in the freezer. Believe me, after struggling through the past 9 months being sick and not able to work full time, I Thank God for the bounty. Happy Holidays!!!

no sad awe here.....as long as the doe didn't have a baby all is well to me

Most of the does do have babys.....in the spring. By hunting season, most of the babys have lost their spots, are way past weaned. They are considered good 'eatin! (No way would I shoot a fawn, for the record.)

When pepole say hunters shot Bambie's mommy, I tell them it wasn't hunters, it had to be poachers, to the best of my knowledge there is not a hunting season in the spring when fawns have spots, so don't hang that rap on hunters.

If hunters didn't do sensible harvesting of the wildlife, then hunger and disease would do it.
Only thing better than venison......a nice young elk......mmmmmm love mincemeat pie.....
and, if anyone ANYONE says that they still make mincemeat out of REAL MEAT.....get another chair at the
table.....I'm coming to your house......
