In the middle of November I decided to complete the field, which surprised me always before by the diversity of finds. 3 hours brought the following:
Next day was the last on this field, and it looks like there was some children playground or another meeting point of people for a quite long time. Although this day unusually many walking around people were interested in what I am doing, and I spend couple of hours in talking and showing the finds, again 3 hours left to scan the ground.
Some relics in detail.
Have you ever seen emeralds, built in cheap brass? Me - never before, but this green substance looks in reality so nice, that I checked the stones with spectroscopic methods, and was greatly amazed, how old jewellers could imitate optical properties of emerald in simple glass. So- no gem stone but neat.
May be you have ever met a sapphire, mounted in the same cheap brass? No way. Just a blue glass - clear without high tech, but anyway, a beauty .
But not always busts of local population was decorated by such "jewellery". Third Reich paid great attention to a such propaganda accessories
Something more neutral. Thimble has a medieval shape but 19th century performance.
Bavarian pfennig 1870 - notable by the absolute absence of any notable features
Doubled face-value of the same period
Token, used in some firms or hotels as an internal currency. The letter "H" after "T" indicates, that this one was used before 1902, when "Werth" turned to "Wert" according to modified rules of writing.
Silver, unknown origin 6 kreuzer, is soaking now in the soap solution.
Another silver is from Saxonia-Meiningen.
And the smallest silver of the weekend came from Bavaria.
Younger siver from Munich
Lots of buttons. Pewter horse button. Real stallion rather than mare , jumping to the right. They are for some reason always running to the right.
Buttons of such size are rare, especially engraved_ and why I like them - they are, being hand-made, very individual. Both buttons - 17-18th century.
Another version of button from that time. Glass in brass.
German military button, first half of 19th century.
Later military button - can be dated from 1870s to 1WW.
Hunter button number 1.
Hunter button number 2.
Small medal with two German kaisers - Friedrich, followed by Wilhelm.
