Don't know how big that is, but I think many times what folks believe to be 'nutting stones' were actually used to hold down the spindle on a fire bow drill.

Sometimes Rginn but his are nutting stones. Ones for fire are very small and not as common and would not be cupped on both sides. Good point though.
