Took these pictures on my back patio one early morning last weekend. I could see from the window the Cat was very focused on something, so I went out to see what has his interest and saw he was keeping an eye on this odd Caterpillar crawling along. It was maybe 2-1/2" long and around a 1/2" in diameter with this single marking on the rear that looks like an eye. I've never seen this kind of caterpillar before. I'm sure it be one to eat up your vegetable garden if it got in it?

That looks like it. Dang thing was going the opposite way from the grape Vines. Iooks like it may have been nibbling on one leaf that I can see. The grapes all look good and untouched.
