Oh my! I had no idea how good this kid is, really!!

That "New kid on the block" post yesterday gave an indication of either beginner's luck or some rather strong talent.

I know I'm unable to be completely impartial. BUT, the kid never used a detector before. Yesterday, in just 1 hour he was finding on his own AND with some really surprising results! Ok, ok, so he got lucky. Yay and many happy returns. Right?

Well, today we went out again and in a short two hours, well, here's the results. You be the judge.











AND...to boot, one of the pennies he finds on the playground?



A RECENTLY dropped, wonderfully conditioned, 52-d wheat cent!

Oh, and g-olden years? He goes home today and he's not going to be a thousand miles away from you any longer.

In case you missed yesterday's post, he's only 9! This one, is one to watch!

Yep, it sure appears so! I sort of knew he would take to this but wow! I had no idea just how able he was to actually find!
I expected the usual few minutes than off to something else. But, he dug trash as well and didn't let that keep him from going on. He just
put it in the trash bag and kept looking.

But, even more than that, he remembered all he was taught regarding replacing/repairing his holes, Even on the frustrating p-tabs/canslaw. I gotta say, I was pretty amazed, and proud. Still more, he also seems to have a knack for getting his loop over something worth finding. I watched, gave a few small tips but he moved as if he was being led to that next good signal. Something, as you guys know, can't be taught.

Thanks for the responses guys. I just wanted to share something I was blessed enough to witness.
