put in an hour at a park I saw on a 1966 Arial shot, found 8" clad quarters and a little bit of other clad from the 60s, got fed up with it left that park and hit my other park I know I will get at least a few wheats from, squeeked out 2 toasty wheats and an even toastier indian, that was a surprise!

enough with the parks for a while for me, its time to start a door knocking!
thanks for looking and hh!! 20150402_200132.jpg 20150402_201751.jpg 20150402_201809.jpg

If there's wheats and 60"s there's got to be silver. That's what I tell myself, doesn't always work but it sounds good. LOL Keep lookin. HH!

Oh I hear ya!, the 66 quarter and 60s pennies had me hoping, but man thats all I could muster up, I'd rather put 2 hrs in at a permission and get way more wheats and possibly silver, with less trash lol

Did you read my post Chris? I'm not rubbing in a crappy hunt but door knocking is the way to go. And hey, if hunts were all good we would get bored. Wait, that's not true...

Hang in there and bang on them doors!

All I can find around here are a few wheaties and a very occasional Merc. I think all the big silver got sucked up in the hay days of the 80's

It could have been worse...you could have spent a couple hours in a muddy field and only found an old roundball[emoji106]

Why......isn't it all about finding the good stuff? You know, the gold? silver?

I just payed for all my new equipment for water hunting with, guess what? My clad. ;)

You mean you're not trying to prove to wifey that the new detector was needed? Not just a splurge of the baby food money? LOL ;)

The cross looks promising. Yours pretty much mirrored my hunt today. Another park, but I did come away with an old filigree silver jewelry piece. Permissions would be better for me, too... wouldn't have to drive as far. Think I'll break out the gps and find some waypoints in the woods.

Its not about always finding the goods, but i dont know anyone who upgraded and was ok with a handful of crusty zincolns

im glad you were able to put your clad efforts to good use

and my wife fully understands my "want", not "need" of this new machine

Yeah you alwAys usually find more pennies then nickels dimes and quarters. More people will not even look for a dropped penny. Then if they drop a quarter
