Looking for decent metal detecting spots in Oklahoma, prefer northeatern part of the state around Tulsa. I know parks and schools and old homesteads, I have searched a few of them. I'm more interested in old camp sites, amusement parks, drive ins, civil war sites, mines or caves.... Anything that may have already been hunted out that I can check out. If possible, GPS coords would be super.
I know of a nudist campground/colony in west tulsa/berryhill area that I am following up on. IT was frequented in the 1920's but has since been long abandoned. Not sure if a nudist colony would be a good spot, where would they keep their coins?
Anyone ever try detecting around blue whale in catoosa? I know there is a geocache located there but I have not tried asking if I could MD there.
