During The 2nd World War, this air strip was in fact made from gravel, the British pilots used it to practice while they were bambing, the actuall bombing was done on a farm nearby, however we went out hunting this afternoon and found mostly trash, but two items we were lucky to find, first I found this little metal badge, it is of a Scottish Terrier dog, we think that it was worn by the pilots as their mascot or such, maybe a certain group of pilots, maybe somebody can shed some light on who wore it.

The other item that I found was this little 9mm copper jacket bullet head, this was army issue, the rest was just trash.

All comments are welcome.

P/S used my new Minellab X-TERRA VFELX machine this afternoon as well.

I remember seeing Airedale dogs with pilots in old WW II pictures. That looks like an Airedale to me.

Grip

The airfield is known as The Queenstown Airfield or maybe the word Komani might also help, I am not sure what else, will find out and let you all know.
Thankyou

that would be so cool to hunt!
