I also found two brass mystery items that I will have to defer to relic experts for help identifying. One is a brass conical point, maybe a flag pole/guidon pole point, scabbard, Native copper item, or farm implement. Looks like it may have been on the end of a wooden pole. It was flattened and bent when found in a park that is about half way between the site of Zygony's Charge and the Wilson's Creek battlefield in the Springfield, MO, area.

The other little brass/copper item looks like something I have seen on TNet before, may be just a brush handle, but I don't know. Maybe a fuse lighter? If so, CW era or reenactment prop? Found near Republic, MO, not too far from Wilson's Creek National Battlefield.

Thanks for any help you can provide! Sub 8-)

The second item is definitely a used Reproduction civil war cannon friction-primer.

A photo below shows what an unused repro looks like (four in that photo). The other photo shows three Original (not repro) civil war friction primers. Note the rounded dome at their upper end... in comparison to the Reproduction, whose upper end is square-cornered and simply pressed flat.

Thank you CannonBall Guy! The field where the little friction primer was found is ripe for some re enactments. Makes sense. Sub 8-)
