One of my students found these over the weekend. The button was found in a park which has served as a town common since the 1750's and the sterling cross was found near an old bridge. My student told me the cross was next to a very large tree and was recovered from under a root. Any estimates on the age of the button? I'm guessing the pin is from the mid 20th century, but if anyone can refine that more, it would be appreciated.

Nice looking button and pin. Where have you been? Thought you were going to come out to hit some old cellar holes

I took the summer off from detecting to focus on my career a bit, but I'm back now! I'm able to detect on the weekends with a few days notice. PM me if you want to come out here or want me to head out your way.
