Here is an old button I found tonight . I hunted a school that is from the 1950's and it just had all of it's grass taken out and has been graded . On some old maps it shows houses at this site in the 1870's ! This button is what I found . It was only a half inch deep. I know nothing about button so I'm hoping for some help . It is the size of a penny and looks like a man on a horse in the middle . On the edge it has Asian writing .
Thanks for the help,
Glen

Ok, just seen a similar (ish) button (metal wise), in my collection. Its hard to put a finger on it but its kinda cheap pot metal/pewter mix. I think the one above & mine dates to the early-mid 20th century and are a fashion type button.

I would agree with the dating. It can also be a cuff button.

I found a picture on EBAY . I think this it . It is a Conquistador on a horse with Aztec symbol around the edge . The year on the bottom is 1486 . I have asked the seller if they know when it was made .
