I've got a few small special cause supporting thrift stores around here and at times you'll find some good little money makers in them. The place I got this vintage Rollei 35, supports wounded birds, coyote hit by cars and what ever injured wild critters that are brought into their animal hospital. These little Rollei 35 camera's have a good base of buyers on eBay. Seems sold prices run from an average of $70.00 to $140.00 for this particular model. Not sure of its functionality, but I've viewed a few listed AS-IS, that still brought considerably more than the 6 and change I paid for this one. I've also got an old Rollei 35-S, I got at a yard sale 2 summers ago for 10 bucks. Seems a lot of the higher end compact 35mm camera's have been increasing in prices and demands here recently.

Nice find Tamrock. Anytime you can do six times your money, you’re doing alright. You reminded me of the handy webpage link you posted that I’ve had bookmarked for a while now. Not that I have ever found any of these, but I’ll be ready if and when I do:

And just to stoke the fires that make us want to get out there and hunt the thrift stores, here is a great story about a $5 Leica score!:

Yes, that's a good list to follow. Here I have an Olympus AX abd AX2. Both TS finds in the 5 dollar range. One other one I found and is not on the list is this Nikon Lite-Touch AF also called the AF600. Made in 1992 at a retail price of $210.00. It's very compact, takes great pictures and would sell at around $75.00 to $150.00 on eBay. I use it to keep the old family photo albums with good old film photographs. It cost me less than $4.00 at the ARC TS. These photos are proof it's been film tested with an unopened box of mfg. date year 1998 Kodak film, picked up for 2 bucks at the TS. Processing cost like 15 bucks for 24 exposures. That's not very reasonable, but it serves my purpose. Yes valuable old film camera's are out there, but check to be sure you'll be buying the right ones. There are many out there that wouldn't sell for anymore than thrift store prices on eBay.

That's great, hope you have great vacation. Back in the 2000's there where a lot of these point and shoot cameras available in thrift stores. So many they probably began to just put em in the trash. I would look at them back then and think boy this was a expensive camera 10 years ago, but I didn't think I should spend anything on them, because the world has gone digital. Now day's the hipsters are becoming fascinated with the technology of the 70s, 80s and 90s. Like old watches I'm hanging on to these better old point & shoot cameras for now. Ya know they'll never make most of them again. I guess someone is once again producing Polaroid instant film. I have found and sold 2 Polaroid SX 70s so far on eBay. Both of those did really well. One had a blue, I believe, shutter button and it was more rare than the red button and therefore worth more. I remember it made a pretty sweet profit.
