Old car/truck chrome trim?

Eyeball find today on the edge of a field by a park as my kids played. Seems like it might have been the trim under a hood emblem possibly. Maybe a Chevy or thunderbird? I'm sure someone knows what it went to. Thanks for looking. HH

Wow!!! Great ID. Your 100% right on. Thank you. Although partial and broken I find it pretty to look at. Where I found it looks to be a promising place to metal detect. Like you name as well la.FurTrade as I'm a descendant of French Canadian Fur traders. Have a nice year.
