Along the hillside near my 1980s house, I got a token a foot deep. Its from 1993, and a dollar token, that travelled all the way across the country to Vermont. I also got a 1909 Indian head cent, from the where an old house and barn were many years ago, but it fell out of my pocket and went back on to the soil:( Hopefully I find it again soon lol.

Cool token. Treasure Island opened for business on 26 October 1993. Your token should have a ‘GDC’ mintmark for the Green Duck Corporation of Hernando, Mississippi (1962-2004), so it’s from between 1993-2004.
Thanks for the help! Now I know exactly what it is.

Cool token.. Hope you find the Indian head penny. A 1909 S Indian head penny would be a real prize, as they minted less than 500,000 of them. Good luck.

I forgot to mention it was not an s, but I hope I find one one day. I have found a 1908-s last year with a hole- I think they used it as a washer 😂

Is there a specific website I can use to research tokens?

I normally use 'Token Catalog' for American ones but it's often short on history or background. For that you usually need to use Google. It's really useful though if you only have partial legibility of an inscription, because you can search for partial words and phrases which then gives you more ammo for a more extensive Google search.

Yours is listed here, but without the dating information:

Nice finds! Get yourself a nice zippered finds pouch so you don't lose any more "treasures"! :laughing7: Putting stuff in your pockets is just asking to lose things.....as evidenced by the reason for the stuff we find!
