sorry I can't help w/ id, but it's a nice piece. don't refinish! just gently clean. I don't think it's old, but it's worth keeping.

I liked it because of the hearts and thought it was unique. It is put together with large headed flat screws if that helps. There was other chairs there that dated back to the mid 1800's but this is the one I was able to get. The other guys were there before me and the took the better ones. I liked this the best though.

If you are still interested, this is an Arts & Crafts Style oak dining chair, most probably from the turn of the century. Great Chair!

You can probably get a better idea by looking at how it was put together as well as the rivets in the seat bottom. You mentioned it used flat headed screws. Were these to put the pieces together? If so, then it's probably not too old as most furniture was put together with hand made dovetails and other ways besides using screws or nails.
