Old corn field coins

Swinging the detector for a couple hours this afternoon in between the corn stalks in a field that I've been hunting for three seasons now. I'm still finding some goodies

Three large cents ~ 1824, 1836?, 1844. And four more old flat buttons, all London I believe. Thanks for taking a look!

Check out this site. I am pretty sure I have seen one or two of your buttons there. Should help you in dating them and where they came from.

Thx! ...this past Spring I got a 1786 half reale but silver in these old fields is really tough to come by.

Thanks 66! I'll look further into that site. I pretty sure that most the flat butts I get run around 1790-1820 or so. I actually don't get many from the fields that are not London buttons.
