Got permission to search the site of an old farmhouse. House is gone, but I have a vague idea of where it stood. I found some pretty interesting things with my Whites XLT, including a small ring (it came up as brass on the VDI), a buckle, and a spoon (made by the New Haven Silver Plate Co.) There was a small piece of something, that came up in the 70s and when I put the XLT on the coin/jewelry program, it said it was a penny or dime. You can see on one of the close ups that "New York" is engraved on it. There were obviously more words on it, but that's where the thing was broken, so it is still a mystery to me.

The piece of glassware was found in an area I think is going to turn out to be the privy, or their trash dump area.

I'd also like to know if anyone recognizes the shell.

It's a real interesting piece of land, and I am looking forwawrd to getting back out there!

Great finds! Hit that site some more. Can't tell from the pic but maybe the cartridge case is a 25-20?
