So I never had a chance to take a close look at jewelry that I bought last summer while out yard sale and flea market shopping over the summer. Here are a few of the better items. FYI, I ran out of time to get everything together for my photo booth....based on what I've found, it is probably a good thing that I didn't.

1. Weird pin/brooch unmarked - ANY IDEAS?
2. Coro earrings
3. Huge vintage clip earrings - marked Wm deLillo - VALUE?
4. 1/20 12K Gold Filled Clip earrings - pink??? - unknown value
5. Beautiful Peridot (?) marked 10K clip earrings - I couldn't believe my eyes when I pulled these out of the chest in my attic - Value other than gold weight? Period (Deco?)? (the front of each earring is about the size of a dime for reference)
6. Strawbridge and Clothier gloves - marked REAL KID (I assume kid as in goat, these are very soft leather gloves) MADE IN FRANCE FOR STRAWBRIDGE AND CLOTHIER - Value?

Thanks again for any input!

HAPPY HUNTING! Gonna be a great weekend here on the east coast for finding treasures!!

One more thing - I can't remember exactly what I paid for each item, but I recall less than $10 for the whole bunch. Plus the cost of gas of course! ;)

Those are some nice and "Rewarding" finds!! I still find silver and gold, but I can tell how "John Q. Public" knows more now than they did a year ago. With gold bugs, silver hounds, and dealers, they usually buy all they can find, so if you get to a sale, and get there early, you usually don't find much precious metals. The early finds or following garage sale signs that aren't listed anywhere, is where I have been very lucky. Except for the weekend of our own garage sale, I've found Sterling and at least 10kt every weekend for the last 5 weeks.... Last weekend kept the record going only with a 1/2-gram small set of 10kt yellow gold and garnet ear studs mixed in with 4 other pairs for .25 cents....

As far as you Gold filled items, the Dendritics' updated program lets you see how much a piece is worth by adjusting to gold filled karat gold. I learned that the "general way to get a ballpark estimate" is count it as being 9 karat, but the new program does a nice job!

Keep up the good work!

Very nice! I would price as follows if I was selling them: Large Pin (presuming base metal) $40.00; Coro Earrings (sell together with similar pieces); Big Clip Earrings - not familiar with the designer buy I would ask $18.00 as is; Gold Filled Earrings - $22.50; 10K White Gold Peridot Screw Backs - I would call them Deco (even though its not an exact fit) and ask $65.00. We sell about 1,000 pieces of jewelry every month and I am fairly confident these prices are accurate. If anything, I am underpricing -- especially that Brooch, which is outrageous and unique. Also -- if you do decide to sell, and you sell on eBay -- list them internationally.

Thanks Randazzo.
Any input on jewelry is great input in my opinion.
EBay is funny that way....one day you won't get a bid at $20, then you list it auction style for $9.99 and the item sells for $50. It really depends on the audience.

I just posted a unique enamel pin I picked up today (see separate post - Unusual Antique (?) Pin - Black Red Enamel...), any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
