Hello everyone's been a long time since I've posted, lately I've just been finding the usual Indians, Mercs, Barber dimes here and there, wheat pennies, etc......

But yesterday, Sunday, I was hunting in a section of woods new to me where a couple of MD friends hunted before and found, Barbers, KG II coins, SLQ, and Indians.

I managed to find two ox shoes, a 60 caliber musketball, and an Indian I have yet to pull a date off of, and now the grand finale.......

A 18K Gold Wedding band with a date inscribed. 3-4-'16. !!!!!!

I'm assuming 1916 not 1816 which is probably too early for inscribed wedding bands.

It was approximately 5 inches down, I wiped the dirt off revealing the hallmark R&D 18K. It weighs 7 g.

There is also a name inscribed, I am currently trying to search for information about the person.

Needless to say I was very excited, it's almost as good as finding a Gold coin with a readable date, and I stress ALMOST! LOL

Enjoy the photos

Please share the name to complete the story............ it isn't like they will read it.... but would be fun to follow their history
