My hunting buddy and I went to the old home place this past weekend. Found a few CW targets the time defore but not this day except for one suspect bullet. 20180312_151013.jpg 20180312_151013.jpg 20180312_151202.jpg 20180312_151151.jpg

Looks to me to be a cast brass lantern fennel and some sort of cast brass locking nut(not a conduit nut) the old pocket knife, pretty nice topaz ring and lots of square nails. Almost forgot. One complete axe head that was left on a pine stump. Thanks for vewing.

Everyone always tells me those "conduit nut" looking pieces are from an old umbrella, I seem to find a whole lot though, people around here must have lost a lot of umbrella parts.

..... pretty nice topaz ring and lots of square nails.......

That does look like a pretty nice ring! I believe the stone is actually turquoise. Any marking inside?

Thanks for the look. The conduit looking ring is a cast brass. I really believe it was a part of the lantern top piece next to it in the pic. I found it probably 15 feet away between some square nails. No threads on the I.D. It was a really fun hunt despite no coins or bullets except for the questionable one that looked to be maybe a 45 cal. You can't see in the pic but it has 2 rings.

Threaded silverish colored piece may have been a horse collar terret. Or decorative swinger/ fly terret on a collar. Or rein guide?

You may be correct. There was suppose to be a blacksmith shop nearby. Thanks for viewing.
